Alloy wheel repairs (welding and straightening) – if you choose our “while you wait” service, it usually takes around 45 minutes, but it depends on the amount of damage etc.  If you are leaving the wheel with us, we will endeavour to get it done as quickly as possible – on average within 24 hours.

Powder Coating is an industrial process for painting your wheels.  The ‘paint’ is applied as a powder – rather than as a liquid.  Most wheels are powder coated as part of the original manufacturing process.

Diamond cut alloys have a different appearance to more conventional powder coated alloy wheels.  They will be a metallic silver across the face of the wheel and it will be a different colour to the rest of the wheel.  This is achieved by powder coating the whole wheel and then cutting across the face of the wheel on a lathe to expose the shiny alloy metal underneath.

A Powder Coated alloy wheel will be the same colour all over the wheel.

A Diamond Cut alloy wheel will have been powder coated all over and then a lathe used to cut across the face of the wheel.  This will remove the paint and leave a shiny, metal finish.  It effectively creates a two tone effect on the wheel.

Powder coated wheels have the painted applied to them in a powder format.

Wet sprayed wheels have the paint applied to them in a liquid format.

It is a wheel that is made up of 2 or 3 separate parts that bolt together to make a complete wheel – also known as “split rims”.  They are easily identified by a ring of visible bolts around the face of the wheel.

Some wheels have this ring of bolts just for decoration, so they look like 2 piece wheels – these are known as “fake splits”.

Most standard alloy wheels are 1 piece wheels.

Your vehicle will be be securely stored in either our workshop or compound.

Yes we have trade standard liability insurance.

We offer the following warranties on our work:
  • Refurbished wheels – Powder Coated – 12 month warranty
  • Refurbished wheels – Diamond Cut – 6 month warranty
  • Weld repairs – 1 week warranty

We can usually match a colour to about 98% accuracy – but it depends if it is a standard colour, if the original colour has faded, if it is available in a powder format etc.

If you want a specific non-standard colour, you will need to provide us with the exact paint code for that colour.  Wheels requiring a specific colour may have to be “wet sprayed” as it is not always possible to get that colour in a powder format.

Availability changes from hour to hour but we are usually taking bookings around two weeks in advance.  Please give us a call to find out current or future availability.

The easiest way to find your wheel size is to look on the side of your tyre for the tyre size.  It will have a set of numbers similar to this ‘245/45/17‘- the last two numbers are the wheel size.

If you have a loose wheel with no tyre, then the wheel size should be detailed on the back of the wheel (either on the hub or on the back of one of the spokes e.g. 9Jx20).

No we do not sell or supply tyres.

But we are able to remove, refit and balance the tyres on your wheels.

We will not refit tyres that are illegal.  So please check your tyres before your car/wheels come to us.  You are welcome to bring along your new tyres and we will fit them for you once your wheels are refurbished and dispose of the old tyres (for a small fee).

If you have lost your locking wheel nut you will have to contact your main dealer to get a replacement one.

  • On arrival assess your wheels and advise you of the work required and the costs involved.
